Warm Mix Asphalt, Long Haul & Compaction Aid

  • Thermo+ “Green” Liquid Additive

A new generation vegetable based non-hazardous liquid additive, allowing the production of Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA). Enabling temperature reduction to 110ºC for production and 90ºC  for laying and compaction.

  • Safe handling, no odour, shelf stable (season to season), pumpable at low temperatures and heat stable.
  • Improves aggregate-binder adhesion.
  • Suitable for acid included bitumen.
  • Thermo+ is a surfactant, this solution doesn’t change the physical properties of the mix design, it only facilitates a performance aspect.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE:
0.3% Long haul & compaction aid
0.5% Warm Mix Asphalt (130°c mixing, 110°c compaction)
1.0%   Ultra Low Mix (110°c mixing, 90°c compaction)
*Dosed into the Bitumen Tank with slight agitation or recirculation, Inline Injection, or added to Binder weighting scale (Batch Plants). For Binder Supplier – dosed into the transport truck during bitumen loading.

Asphalt Performance Enhancer

  • BITCEL Cellulose Fibre
  • APS-92 Liquid Anti-Strip / Adhesion Promoter

A compressed Cellulose Fiber pellet, used as a binder stabiliser/drainage inhibitor in asphalt production with high bitumen content: SMA, OGPA, asphalt thin layers, high module mixes.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE (by weight of total asphalt mix)
0.3% to 0.5%

Based on silane nanotechnology chemistry, APS-92 enhances the chemical affinity between aggregate-binder with very low dosage rate.

Odour free, stable in hot bitumen shelf stable (season to season), pumpable at low temperatures.
Reduce/replace hydrated lime dosage in mix design – significant CO2e benefit.
Heat stable adhesion agent for hot cut back bitumen, won’t expire over time

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE (by weight of bitumen)

0.05% – 0.10%
*Dosed into the Bitumen Tank with slight agitation or recirculation, Inline Injection, or added to Binder weighting scale (Batch Plants). For Binder Supplier – dosed into the transport truck during bitumen loading.

Decorative Pavements & Treatments

  • Iron Oxide – Natural asphalt colourant

Micronox R01 – Natural Iron Oxide is inherently coloured “Spanish Red”. Supplied in powder format with an average particle size of approx. 1 um.

  • Micronox R01 meets tight colour and quality specifications, as required in the Paint and Coatings industry
  • Commercially competitve against synthetic colourants with superior UV resistance
  • Low CO2e is a naturally occuring product
  • Can be blended with synthetic colourants for tailored colours
  • Dosed during asphalt production for coloured mixes – bike lanes, bus lanes

Recycled Asphalt (RAP)

  • RAP-8V “Green” rejuvenator

A new generation vegetable based non-hazardous liquid additive. A True Rejuvenator, formulated to directly enhance the degraded resin and aromatic content in the oxidised bitumen.

  • Pumpable at low temperatures
  • Odour-free, heat-resistant and storage-stable in heated bitumen
  • Enables reduced asphalt mix production temperatures in applications where reclaimed asphalt is added (Moderate Warm Mix ability)
  • Allows for high RAP content Asphalt mixes – over 50%

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE (by weight of RAP)
Typical dosage between 0.10% – 0.15%

*Dosed into the Bitumen Tank with slight agitation or recirculation, Inline Injection, or added to Binder weighting scale (Batch Plants). For Binder Supplier – dosed into the transport truck during bitumen loading.

Bitumen Additives

  • BITLINKER – Crosslinking agent for polymer modification
  • Natural Bitumen – Natural bitumen viscosity modification/low CO2e mixes

A Cross-Linking agent in granular form, specifically developed to reduce odour and enhance stability of PMB (modified bitumen with SBR/SBS polymers) for long storage periods. It contains chemical catalysts, accelerators and bonding agents.

  • Non hazardous
  • Faster Digestion Time for PMB producers (less energy input)
  • More stable PMB – improves bond between the bitumen and polymer
  • Drastically reduce H2S emissions
  • Enables reduced SBS dosing

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE (by weight of bitumen)
0.10% – 0.25%
*Dosed in the PMB plant, multiple dose points available

Natural Asphalt/Bitumen, branded AS03, is a naturally occuring substance sourced from Colombia. Used in it’s natural state (no refining process) this products has a drastically lower CO2e footprint than straight run bitumen. Blend with bitumen or sustainable alternatives for bio-binders, enhanced performance coatings or to increase viscosity. Supplied in palletised format (2-4mm granules) for safe storage, handling and ease of processing.
